Personal Year Wrap Up:
2016 has been a wonderful year. It began with a bang, as a Mogul Ambassador, contributing to an international platform. There were so many enjoyable articles by many fellow Moguls. I am excited to continue to work with them in 2017.
Additionally, I have worked hard to re-develop my gluten free blog and added more than 30 recipes in the past year. I have more to add, but I haven’t had the time to write them up properly. My mission is to continue to make eating gluten free meals easier for families like mine. In addition, I am also thinking of developing a digital form of my recipes. We will see what 2017 brings.
Elizabeth Ink was a sponsor for one of my kids’ soccer teams, and I took on coaching both my sons. The art of coaching two teams gave me a new appreciation for coaches. Each of the kids touched my heart. I look forward to working with them in years to come. I may not always be their coach, but I really enjoy being involved with activities my kids love.
Teamwork with a few great companies:
Thank you, Shon Christy, and Mark Krohn of Focal Point Social Media. Together they have a dynamite team that was great to work with them. Both Shon and Mark have inspired me with their drive to improve the Northeast Ohio community. Both of them have so much passion for the organizations that they support. I look forward to seeing what they do together in 2017.
Networking was a big part of the year with the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce as an Ambassador for the chamber. What a wonderful way to do business in the Greater Akron area. Through the Chamber, I connected with a lot of old friends and made some wonderful new connections. The Chamber has a wonderful team and great networking opportunities for businesses of all sizes. Many of the speakers they had at networking events inspired me personally. I am looking forward to seeing their generosity grow into amazing things. The Greater Akron Chamber is such a valuabe resource.
In 2016 I also left Seifert Technologies as an employee to jump head first into Elizabeth Ink. It was an incredible 4.5 years with Seifert. They allowed me to be home with my kids while contributing to their digital marketing. I am currently still doing some work with Seifert to deploy social media marketing to clients. It has been a great way to keep up with the team at Seifert. Thank you, Tim Seifert, for your continued support. I truly appreciate you.
Non-Profit Work by Elizabeth Ink in 2016:
In May 2016 my long time friend and networking guru Heather Taylor and we made it happen with a gamut of amazing professional women. Together, we teamed up to create a one-of-a-kind networking event. We held two Professional Businesswomen’s Summit’s and Summit Mall in Fairlawn was an amazing host. Heather asked me to design the logo. I was also fortunate to present at the first event, a great honor for me. I am looking forward to seeing what Heather and her team do for 2017!
Fall of 2016, I teamed up with Project Ed Bear to design the digital marketing and print materials for the Wizard of OZ Auction Gala. Project Ed Bear is such an amazing organization in our community. The work that they do for children with cancer is phenomenal. I was truly inspired at the Gala this year by the beautiful children that they work with. There is no better way to donate my time than to work with them again in 2017. Susan Summerville is such an amazing woman, she inspires me to be better, and do more.
Elizabeth Ink was also a sponsor for The Ruby Group’s annual golf outing this fall. It was a great pleasure to sponsor a hole, meet a lot of new faces, and help raise money for Cleveland Clinic’s cancer research. I love that this amazing team at The Ruby Group. I am proud to be a memeber there, and honestly I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
New Clients and the Support of my Family and Friends:
This year has introduced me to many new clients. I cannot stress how amazing it has been to work with people that inspire me and develop their marketing platforms. There are no words to express to each of them how thankful I am for the opportunities. I am looking forward to working with them all again in 2017.
With the support of my family, friends, and colleges, 2016 was one of the best years yet. I cannot wait to see what is in store for 2017, and I welcome it with open arms. Thank you to everyone who truly became part of this journey with me. I couldn’t have done this without you!
